Multi-cutting wire cut EDM is upgraded from Single cutting wire cut EDM. It can obtain much better surface roughness through control electric current and cutting speed during repeated skim cutting.
To ensure rigidity and stability, the casting of T-shape machine base need to reach the grade of gray cast iron HT250, and C-shape column was adopted in the design of structure, in which the upper frame and Z axis column are casted in one whole part. To improve processing precision, high grade linear guideway and ball screw are adopted. Sometimes AC servo motor driven was also recommended.
The core technology of multi-cutting is based on control cabinet, so the control system- AutoCut or WinCut and all the related high-frequency board, driver board, inverter, resistor and contactor must be reliable and durable.
